Behind The Scenes

Frankie racing to be ready

After oil pressure problems with his own car at King’s Lynn on Saturday, young Frank has borrowed Uncle Daniel’s spare engine.

It’s a small block so it won’t fit into his own shale car, so the only option was to fit it into his dad’s 2015 shale car.

Young Frank and Matthew Serpell have spent a lot of hours getting it ready. The gears needed changing, the clutch needed sorting, a seat needs putting in.

We’re currently planning on using an old 515 aerofoil, as we thought grading was Cov to Cov. One day between meetings wasn’t enough time to get his own aerofoil done, not if you want to do it right anyway.

And we still need to try and sort out some numbers for it yet!

See you all at Belle Vue (hopefully!)
