FWJ’s first ever win – 30 years later

The first one – Kelly Foster presenting the trophy after winning the Grand National at Crewe on 17th October 1987.

It doesn’t seem five minutes ago since my first ever race win, let alone thirty bloody years!

Having had the job of refurbishing my first ever F1 for Derek Brown a few years ago, I knew it was only a matter of time before I would be feeling the raw power of the old big block powered beast on the track, and that opportunity came at Skegness on my 30 year anniversary.

No power steering, no silencers, and hardly any brakes! Just like old times, and I absolutely loved every minute of it!

A few pics of me and the kids with the car caused a lot of interest as neither of them were even thought of when the car was built…!

Thanks to Chris Clark, Martin Downs, Colin Casserley, Simon Antrobus, and Kelly Foster for the photos.
