The first night of the Team Championship is a group stage. The Great Britain Lions were drawn in the same group as the Stratford Scrappers and the Canterbury Glen Eagles.
Stratford were up first. Lee Fairhurst won the race, John Dowson was fourth, and FWJ fifth, giving the Lions a 130-65 win.
Our second race was against Canterbury, and Lee again won. Ben Hurdman was second and John fourth, giving us another win, this time 160-35.
Our two wins puts us through to the semi-finals tomorrow, and we’re against the Gisbourne Giants.
