2026 Season | 515 Shale Car!

2026 will be Frankie’s 40th year racing a BriSCA F1, and after a career where he won everything (and most more than once) we thought we would do something a little special to celebrate this milestone.

Frank started racing F1’s on 11 October 1987 (5 days after his 16th birthday) at Long Eaton and since then he has won 1,224 races including 293 finals (as at the end of the 2025 BriSCA F1 season).

The thought process behind Frankie’s 2026 ‘look’ for his shale car started towards the end of 2025, where we decided we would do something different, and after lots of bouncing ideas back and forward, it was decided that we would give a nod to a successful car from an early part of Frankie’s career in the early 1990’s.

The car, despite how stunning it looks, isn’t new, its last year’s shale car that has had a major refresh to the car you see today.

How long did it take you may ask? Well as you saw the car came back from Odsal following the shootout finale last November, and apart from having a good clean it sat in the shed until 23 February when we brought it into the workshop and started the transformation.

A lot of hard work from the team has meant we have the car we have today which will be on track tomorrow evening at King’s Lynn for the first meeting of the 2026 season.
Special thanks to Ted, Karl, Binnsy, Paul Ashley, Deano (for the excellent paint job) and Jack Rawlinson (from Sunrise Signs for the signwriting).

I hope you like the car when you see it and here’s to another 40 years ………….!
