2018 World 240ci Championship – Rotorua, New Zealand.

The first race for FWJ didn’t go to plan. He started off 6th but got spun out and dropped back, only managing 18th place, which was a bit disappointing..

In his second race he started near the back, off grid 22, and had a much better race. He looked much quicker and finished in fourth.

His last race he started off grid 16, and unleashed a can of whoop-arse! He hit more or less anything that got in his way, in between trying to avoid a few Palmy cars that were wanting him out. The car was flying and he set the fastest lap of the race. He was the top finishing overseas driver finishing in sixth place overall.

Ted didn’t make the 240s so he was racing in the support races. He drew grid 7 for his first heat. It was really wet, but he managed to find a decent line and stuck to it, finishing third.

In his second race he started on grid 16. He was getting to grips with the car and not looking out of place at all. He finished in ninth.

A great last drive for him in his last race. He started from grid 4 but lost a lot of ground after being taken into the infield. He got going again and passed a fair few cars to finish fifth.

Both boys were mega chuffed with the cars and had a superb weekend.

Massive thanks to Steve & Gaye Hampton for supplying FWJ with a top car. We’re really looking forward to working with them again..

And also a big thank you to 48P Damien Mulcahy for young Frank’s car.
