I woke up pretty early and went to the yard to prepare my car ready for tonight’s meeting. Everything’s loaded up and we leave for the Paradise Valley Track, an approx 15 minute drive.
It was good to see familiar faces and my Kiwi friends and family.
Me, Paul Harrison, and Mick Harris go out for a few practices. We don’t have to qualify for the 240s as we get seeded in.
Paul’s in the Palmy Track car, it looks good and he handles it well. Mick is using a brand new Tank, built by Peter Rees, and he looks quick too.
On the other hand, I’m struggling a bit with one thing or another, and I miss the Grand Parade due to the starter motor packing up.
The car was mis-firing in the first practice so I put a new MSD box on the ignition system for the second practice then it felt good.
We didn’t find out any grid positions as the last 2 races were rained off and will hopefully run at the start of tomorrow’s meeting.
Hopefully some of you will be able to watch with an early start (approx 5.30am).
