I’ve had a few issues with my shale car recently. Chris Fort came to the farm on Friday night and helped to get the engine sorted for Stoke.
With it being the last shale meeting before the World Final next month it was important we tried to get the car running right.
In my first race I got third, the car felt good and quick enough. For the second heat we tried some different tyres to see what worked best? The track was a bit too wet for our tyre choice but I managed a fourth place.
The track had dried out a bit for the final so we left the tyres on. I managed to get through an early pile up and soon found myself leading just before half way. I saw Kev in my mirror and felt a bit pressured, which made me mess up one corner and Kev got on me, I managed to stay ahead of him just and took the final win!
A lap handicap for the national, finishing in tenth and getting some good points… I’m now back up to superstar!
Thanks team for all your help and hard work. Roll on World Final!

Thanks to Mike Bottomley and Paul Greenwood for these pics!
The F1s were on as well. FWJ and Danny both got some decent places – and some new T-shirts!
