2026 Season | Remodelled car for Karl

All roads lead to King’s Lynn this weekend for the first of this year’s semi-finals and all 4 of our drivers (Frankie, Danny, Frankie and Karl) are in the same semi.

When Tom Harris decided which semi-final the forty-seven qualified drivers were racing, Karl had an issue …… no shale car!

Having sold all his other cars to invest into his business, Karl needed a shale car.
One solution, and the one most practical, was to convert his ‘championship winning’ (with Phoebe at the wheel of course) tarmac car to shale.

So after the British Championship at Buxton, work began, and it was completed late Thursday night.

Karl began building this car in tarmac guise, prior to his move to Silsden, where he then got it ‘race ready’. The car has done well providing wins along the way for himself, Danny and of course Phoebe.

The changes required included a narrower back axle, changes to the suspension and springs, new brakes on the rear along with some other minor alterations to make the car suitable for the loose stuff.

Karl will be concentrating on shale for the remainder of the 2026 having now just the one car at his disposal.

Karl added ” I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supports my racing including family, sponsors and friends.
