Once again we had a brilliant trip to New Zealand. Although it wasn’t our best result the team did GB proud.

On the Friday the throttle on the tank stuck open! This was the most painful incident I have ever encountered during my racing career, and I’m still on pain killers now. Still, I hadn’t travelled to the other side of the world not be be in the teams so I had to grin and bear it.

We managed to get through to the semis, and typically we drew Palmy! I think they would agree we gave them a hard race, with just one of their cars finishing, but this was still enough to put them through.

Danny proved that he’s going to be a top team racer in the future, and Ryan and Murray Harrison were fantastic! I really hope they are in the teams next year!

As always loads of people to thank:- everyone who sponsored us, Guy Parker, Scottie and Vicki and their wonderful team, Shane and Amanda Dorrell, Tony Mac, Sonja & Stan, Zoe signs for once again making the cars look mint, Bruce and Pauline, Frits and Reine the best Dutch mechanics ever! Plus everyone who mucked in one way or another. Roll on 2014!
