Phoebe’s V8 news: Birmingham 9th June and Buxton 17th June

First time out as a blue top

My latest V8 meeting were at Birmingham on 9th June and Buxton the 17th of June. My Granddad took me to Birmingham and was a great help!

It’s my first time racing from blue top! In my first race I was going okay but then pulled off with a flat tyre.

In my other 3 races, I finished in 8ths and 9ths, so consistent I guess? I’m starting to receive a few more hits now, but do my best to keep the car under control and get straight back to my line.

I didn’t really feel that I had done that well really, but my Granddad was pleased with me.

I looked forward to racing at Buxton. I quite like the track and was glad that my Dad was going to be attending the same meeting too.

It’s busy! In practice I’m going okay but the car is pushing on a bit. Dad helps me to change some wheels to try and sort it. I didn’t make another practice so not sure how it will feel.

It’s all in today and our turn for heat 1. I start off the back of the blues and the car feels a bit better than before. I enjoy the first heat, and Dad’s very happy when he tells me I got fifth.

In heat 2 I got 8th place which was okay because I had a flat tyre.

In the Final and Grand National I get two more fifth places. I’m really pleased with my results today! Think I have made it to Red top!
