Frankie and Frankie JJ are still in New Zealand, and this weekend they competed in the 2023 World Superstock Teams Championship>
They were competing as part of Team GB Lions, driving as part of a team with BriSCA F1 world Champion Charlie Sworder (5), Dutch brothers Jelle and Niels Tesselaar (410 & 418) and Sam Brigg (587).
The first race for Team GB was on Saturday when they ran out victors in their first race and at the end of the first day sat an impressive 6th in the points table with 210 points. The following day it was an early start due to forecasted poor weather later that night, Team GB Lions then took a 155 to 40 win against the Manawatu Mustangs in the first of the Tier 2 Semi Finals. Frankie JJ playing the blocking role superbly in that race. The Tesselaars were taking to this teams racing very very well.
In the end Team GB Lions finished 4th which was excellent considering there were 3 ‘rookies’ (to NZ teams racing) in the team.
Well done to all concerned and who made the trip happen.
