2026 Season | Skegness 1/8/2026

Last weekend we were on the road and for the 2nd time in 3 weeks we headed down to Skegness, this time for the meeting which also contained the 2nd semi-final.

None of our drivers were in the semi as we all raced last weekend at King’s Lynn, and it was Frankie and Danny who were racing, plus we had Dutch driver, Wessel Drost (H127) in a hire car.

We also took Niels Tesselaar’s (418) car too as it had been with us since KL as we were getting it ready, and Niels also came to Skegness during the week for some practice too.

Frankie was using the Dave Hopkins car for this meeting as they didn’t have time to get all the work finished on the car that was needed for Venray next weekend.

Heat 1 was our heat and it was a ‘nip and tuck’ race with probably the most popular winner of the meeting, Hannah Chappell (307), winning her first BriSCA F1 race in the car she shared with the late Tim Warwick. A very emotional win for Hannah and all her team, well done Hannah. As you can see from the photo, it was Frankie who was right on her back bumper as she took the chequered flag.

Next up was the semi-final, and Frankie was the driver for Niels on his parade lap, and what was a rather uneventful race, Niels drove a brilliant race to come home 10th and get a place in next month’s world final at Northampton, a track where he goes really well. This is even more special as Niels very rarely drives on tarmac.

The semi was won by Tom Harris (1) with Callum Thornton (368) 2nd and Ant Whorton-Eales 3rd, and well done for Tom for getting the number 1 car on pole yet again.

Frankie and Danny went out in the final with Frankie bringing the 447 (515) car home in 8th place.

In the grand national, it was Danny who came out in front, finishing 9th with Frankie 10th.

A great meeting and congratulations to Niels, Tom and Hannah for their respective achievements.
