Euro weekend, July 2015

The Saturday night of the European weekend wasn’t particularly flash for the Wainman boys, the blow was eased slightly by the fact no other super stars did particularly great either.

The European on Sunday was run the same way as it usually is with drivers starting in graded order. Danny started off the front of the Super Star grade. His race was short lived as he got a flat tyre whilst avoiding various pile ups. After 3 laps he got caught up and that was his race over.

Danny went on to get 12th in the final beating some “Tarmac specials” in his shale car.

FWJ started his race off the back, he did extremely well to avoid the carnage going on around him and just managed to keep going, finding himself gaining ground slowly but surely, and soon finding himself behind Ed Neachell.

In the meantime Tom was gaining on FWJ too. Frankie caught Ed with 2 laps to go but his hit to pass slowed him, allowing Tom to make his move. FWJ held the hit but couldn’t quite get back on Tom, and finishing second.

Frankie has had a great year as European champion and really enjoyed the race, trying to defend it and being a part of the 2015 race still in with a shout.

Thanks to team and fans for showing us so much support, hopefully there will be more wins to come…
